Johnny Depp Joins Burton’s Corpse Bride
Source: ComingSoon
“Before he toplines back-to-back “Pirates of the Caribbean” sequels, Johnny Depp will first pull double duty for Tim BurtonTim Burton and Warner Bros.
Already booked to play Willy Wonka in the Burton-directed “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” Depp has just made a deal to provide the lead voice in “Corpse Bride,” the stop-motion animated film Burton is co-directing with Michael Johnson and producing with Allison Abbate.
Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, Albert Finney, Richard Grant, Joanna Lumley and Christopher Lee will provide character voices for the latter film, being made in London simultaneously with “Charlie.”
WB will release the Wonka pic July 15, 2005, and “Corpse Bride” in October 2005.
Latter film shares the stop-motion animation technique used in the Burton-produced “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” as well as a similarly charming but macabre setting. In a 19th-century European village, Victor (Depp) travels to the underworld for a quickie wedding to a mysterious corpse bride (Bonham Carter) while his living wife (Watson) pines for his return.”

Here are a few Johnny related articles. Most of them are about the MTV movie awards which Johnny didn’t actually attend but instead a short video was shown of his acceptance speech.
You can now view the Neverland (or ‘Finding Neverland’)trailer by clicking here and the official Miramax site can be found here. The site doesn’t have much content yet but I’m sure that it will closer to the movie’s release date.
Oh and don’t forget that you can vote for Secret Window in the Teen Choice Awards by visiting this site.

Johnny’s new movie!
Johnny Depp is set to star with love Vanessa Paradis in an upcoming movie.
The Hollywood heartthrob will play a gypsy in the $17 million adaptation of Harry Crew’s book ‘The Gypsy’s Curse’, while the mother of his two children will play a scheming temptress.
The movie, which is due to start filming in August, tells the story of a disabled man who falls under the spell of Paradis’ character and is warned of his fate by Depp.
Only last week, Vanessa hinted she could never make a movie with her longtime partner – because he would make her laugh too much.
The French singer-turned-actress confessed: “Neither of us knows whether it would work. My worry is keeping a straight face in front of him – he makes me laugh all the time. So trying to be serious, to give him a look without having to giggle – honestly, I don’t know if I could do that.”
This other article from antestreia.com (which is in portuguese and thanks Tulipa for pointing it out) also tells that Johnny will be filming in Portugal!

“People like Johnny Depp are an exception. He is the current model of what an actor should be. His body of work speaks volumes. He was so under-rated for so long, but he will have longevity — and it is such a gratifying thrill to see he is finally getting the recognition he deserves.”
