So Feminine – The American magazine GQ has published a list of the 50 best dressed men over the past 50 years.
It is no surprise that many Hollywood actors are at the top of the list of the best dressed men. There are also politicians and singers on this list of men with style.
Among the best dressed actors, we can find George Clooney and Johnny Depp, as well as actors that marked another era such as, Marcello Mastroianni, Steve McQueen, Paul Newman and Marlon Brando.
The musicians with style include Beck, Bob Dylan and David Bowie.
Naturally, John F. Kennedy had a spot as one of the best dressed politicians.
Hollywood actor Johnny Depp says that he wouldn’t mind essaying his character in the adventure series ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ for a seventh time.
Forty-three-year-old Depp, who plays the role of Jack Sparrow in the hit series, said Sparrow’s character has a lot to explore.
“I’ll never get bored of Captain Jack, he is so much fun. If they wanted to do ‘Pirates 7′, why not? There are new layers to Jack and situations that he can’t just talk his way out of, so it would be good to keep exploring the character,” Tittle-tattle quoted Depp, as saying.
However, Depp doesn’t enjoy the process of fixing gold teeth on, for he finds the entire process very rough.
“They’re bonded on to my own choppers! They make the surface of my teeth kind of rough, then use hot glue and laser the false teeth on,” he said.
“The process of taking them off can be quite ugly. Sometimes they just shoot off and other times you have to address the issue more intensely, with yanking,” he added.
Johnny Depp hates showing his two children his films, because he is always nervous they won’t like them.
The actor – who has two children, Lily-Rose and Jack, with long-term partner Vanessa Paradis – doesn’t care what critics think of his movies but always values his family’s opinion.
He said: “They saw ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, which made me very nervous. I was scared they’d come home and say, ‘Hey dad, better luck next time!’ But they came home quoting it, which is nice.”
Johnny insists there are a number of his movies that he won’t show to his kids until they are older, because he doesn’t want to give them nightmares.
The actor – who has starred in a number of strange adults-only films, including ‘The Ninth Gate’, ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ and ‘Secret Window’ – added: “I only let them watch some of my movies, but some I’m not sure they’re ready for. Hell, I’m not sure I’m ready for them!”
He is currently shooting the Tim Burton directed ‘Sweeney Todd’, in which he plays the murderous London barber of the same name.
There’s an article about Lily Rose on Star magazine, issue from March 26. I wont post the scan here since there’s pictures from Lily and Jack, in respect to Johnny’s desire (he HATES have his child’s pictures exposed in magazines). But here’s the full article:
Johnny Depp’s anguish: his baby girl fights for her life. The actor spent 10 straight days by his sick daughter’s bedside. Here, all the details, including what really caused her deadly infection.
Dashing Johnny Depp has had his share of heroic roles in the movies, but nothing could prepare the Pirates of the Caribbean star for the life-and-death drama that unfolded over the past few weeks in his real life. For 10 days, the anguished actor and his wife Vanessa Paradis, 34, kept a constant vigil at the hospital bedside of their 7-years-old daughter Lily Rose, as she suffered from a potentially life-threatening kidney infection, according to sources.
Johnny Depp has demanded a Moroccan-themed trailer on the set of his latest movie ‘Sweeney Todd’.
Pinewood Studio bosses have agreed to the 43-year-old actor’s unusual request and forked out £20,000 to re-decorate his accommodation with expensive drapes, scented candles and several Moroccan shish pipes – which are used for smoking flavoured tobacco.
Actors go to all sorts of lengths to get into character for their roles, and to make them as real as possible. Take Christian Bale: The man starved himself twenty pounds beyond his nutritionist’s recommendation, morphing into barely more than a pile of bones and skin for The Machinist. It was a bigger personal commitment than overeating for a few months to gain a few curves. Beyond moulding their body, what do actors do to prepare? They might perform some interviews or immerse themselves in the environment.
Well, rumor has it that interviews aren’t enough for Johnny Depp. As Erik Davis reported almost a year ago, Depp is re-teaming with Tim Burton for a film adaptation of the strange Stephen Sondheim musical, Sweeney Todd. Playing the vicious barber who collects human parts for Mrs. Lovett’s meat pies, Depp has been trying to get into character, and it seems he couldn’t find a killer barber to learn from.

Also, The Libertine is set to be showing in The Toronto International Film Festival this friday, 16. Johnny should be doing some press, and, if you’re anywhere near the festival, go see it! According to IMDb, The Libertine is set to open in US in December.
