Johnny Depp is bringing “The Lone Ranger” to Las Vegas during CinemaCon next month.
Disney announced last week that Johnny, co-star Armie Hammer, director Gore Verbinski, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer will discuss the movie on April 17 after showing 20 minutes of exclusive footage to 400 fans at the convention.
Can’t make it to Vegas? They will be live streaming the event on Yahoo Movies and Livestream. Fans around the world can also submit questions through Twitter using the hashtag #LoneRanger for the event.
The Q & A session will take place at the AMC Town Square 18 in Las Vegas at 1 p.m. PT.
Johnny Depp is currently filming the upcoming flick “Lucky Them” in the Seattle area, and he surprised small-town fans when he serenaded locals in the town of Carnation while taking a break from work.
The 49-year-old actor apparently had no qualms about interacting with his starstruck locals, looking relaxed and content as he played guitar and posed for pics.
Local reports suggest Depp was filming at a small lodge near the town, located in the Snoqualmie Valley and boasting a population of fewer than 2,000, when he decided upon the impromptu performance.
And from the looks of his smiling fans, he certainly made their day!
I finally managed to add 35 MQ pictures of Johnny during the Pre-GRAMMY Gala and 34 HQ/MQ pictures during The 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards show in Los Angeles to the photo gallery. Feel free to check them out! Johnny looked handsome, as always.
The jokes can get pretty random on Family Guy, but this week there will be some high-powered star wattage powering one such gag: Johnny Depp. The film star makes his debut on the animated comedy by voicing one of his most memorable and sharpest characters from the big screen, Edward Scissorhands.
In the episode, which airs Sunday at 9 p.m. on Fox, Lois goes through a mid-life crisis and starts acting like someone half her age. As Chris, Meg, Stewie, and Brian wonder what’s wrong with her, Depp appears in a cutaway gag playing the titular character from Edward Scissorhands… as a night nurse. What will happen when Johnny reprises this iconic role for nearly 20 seconds? Press play and hold your babies tight.
Johnny Depp performs as a guest guitarist Onstage during the Petty Fest at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. He’s seen on many pictures ogether with bassist Michael Jared Followill of Kings of Leon rocking the stage. Check them out!
He’s been a tipsy pirate, a crazed milliner, and a blade-fingered freak. Now Johnny Depp is trying out a different kind of role: book publisher.
The actor’s imprint will be a division of HarperCollins and will bear the same weighty-sounding name as his production company, “Infinitum Nihil,” which means “Nothing is forever.” Already slated for Depp’s imprint is The Unraveled Tales of Bob Dylan by journalist Douglas Brinkley, to be released in 2015. Brinkley and Johnny are already co-editing House of Earth, a long-forgotten novel written by the late folk musician Woody Guthrie, which is scheduled for some time next year.
If Johnny’s choice in roles is any indication, his taste in books as an imprint head will probably run eclectic and at times prove way too cool for the average reader.
“I pledge, on behalf of Infinitum Nihil, that we will do our best to deliver publications worthy of people’s time, of people’s concern, publications that might ordinarily never have breached the parapet,” said Depp in a statement. “For this dream realized, we would like to salute HarperCollins for their faith in us and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship together.”
Other public figures who lead their own imprints include Chelsea Handler, Rachael Ray, Anthony Bourdain, and Glenn Beck.
An outtake of an old photoshoot Johnny did for Entertainment Weekly.
As far as i’m concerned Johnny Depp is the best actor of his generation. I think he’s capable of anything, there’s no limits to his abilities. What amazes me is that the critics are always surprised by Johnny. It’s like they don’t really watch what’s there, they don’t understand how good an actor he is he doesn’t cheat by giving you all these cheap emotions. He won’t make you comfortable for him that would be a foot in the grave. — Terry Gillian
