I’ve found a poster of Public Enemies thanks to Depp_Daily on Live Journal. Enjoy.
More to come.
There is a murmur afoot that Heath Ledger’s final movie, THE IMAGINARIUM OF DR PARNASSUS may have trouble finding US distribution. The film also stars Colin Farrell, Johnny Depp and Jude Law, who stepped in to complete the role that Ledger had started.
During the summer there were several interested parties, reportedly including Lionsgate, but since, things have died down. You can read the full lowdown HERE, but the gist is the usual bullshit of ‘too experimental’ and ‘not marketable enough’ and that kind of garbage. Obviously, the most important thing to remember at this obviously difficult time (especially with that emotional speech from Ledger’s family at the Oscars) is that UK distribution is already secure, so, living over here in London, I’m ok.
Extra Tidbit: Depp, Farrell and Law donated their earnings for this movie to Ledger’s daughter Matilda.
Michael Mann’s Public Enemies was test screened on Thursday night in Sherman Oaks, CA. It was a blind screening, which means that they didn’t give the name of the film when soliciting for moviegoers. A bunch of reviews have been floating around the message boards. You can read five reviews here at /film.
Hollywood actor Johnny Depp is all set to narrate an upcoming documentary about the famous band The Doors. The renowned band, which made waves in the 1960’s with songs like ‘Riders on the Stor’ and ‘Light My Fire’, are still loved for their classic songs. However, the band had a tragic end, as its vocalist Jim Morrison died of a drug overdose, after which the band eventually split in 1973.
The Charlie and The Chocolate Factory actor will be narrating Tom DicCillo’s flick, which has been titled ‘When You’re Strange’, reports the Screen Daily. Although, the flick premiered at the Sundance Film Festival with a narration track by DiCillo, Depp has been signed up to narrate an updated version.
“Johnny saw the film early on, we showed him an early cut and he responded very strongly to the subject matter,” Contactmusic quoted producer Peter Jankowski, as saying. Meanwhile, ‘The Doors’ have sold around 80 million albums worldwide.
I was browsing around when found a link to wonderful website of Michelle Martin, who take awesome pictures of Depp and whole cast shooting Public Enemies from Michigan and Illinois. You’ll find more than 400 exclusive pictures, and some beautiful pictures in black & white, also hundred of pictures of the set itself.
A little correction done by Michelle herself: these photos were taken between March and May of 08 in Columbus and Oshkosh, Wisconsin
Johnny Depp could be starring in the upcoming film adaptation of The Three Stooges, reports In Touch.
The 45-year-old actor could soon be poking Sean Penn in the eye in the Farrelly brothers’ forthcoming comedy.
“They want Johnny to play Moe and Sean Penn will be Larry — they’re still looking to cast Curly,” an insider says.
The Farrelly brothers will work on the Stooges movie after filming Walter the Farting Dog with the Jonas Brothers this spring.
Johnny may have to get a Moe bowl haircut!
Just found 3 HQ stills of upcoming “Public Enemies”. So excited to see this movie!
Our site will be under major changes in the next weeks. I’m starting to convert the whole site to WordPress, it would be easier to mantain it and update it. But all the content will be open for access, so you don’t need to worry about it.
The Gore Verbinski – Johnny Depp reunion project Rango has already gotten some attention this week with the news that Abigail Breslin joined the cast. It looks like that cast has gotten even bigger, with Isla Fisher (Definitely, Maybe) coming aboard.
The news comes from MTV’s Movies Blog, who got to talk to Fisher during a junket for her upcoming film, Confessions of a Shopaholic. Fisher announced that she would be playing opposite Depp in the movie as the voice of a lizard Depp’s character encounters on his adventure as a household pet who… well, winds up on an adventure.
Fisher also talked about the process Verbinski is using to make the animated movie, which includes having the actors actually act out the scenes to aid the animators in portraying movement and expression. That’s not uncommon for animated movies, but Fisher seems to indicate Verbinski’s approach is a bit more elaborate, according to MTV.
Just added scans of EW issue of January 09 to our gallery.
I’ve added three HQ pictures to the gallery. All taken from the awesome Celebutopia.
We will add more as they come.
