Keith Richards will once again step into the boots of Captain Teague, MailOnline can exclusively reveal.

The Rolling Stones musician is set to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow’s father in Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

‘After months of talks, Keith has signed on to rejoin Johnny Depp in this fifth Pirates film,’ a source tells MailOnline. ‘Cameras are scheduled to start rolling in October. Also, Christopher Waltz may plan villain Captain Brand, MailOnline has learned.

Keith has appeared in two previous Pirate films: 2007’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and 2011’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. In 2012 the rock god said the chances of him coming back to the movie franchise were good. ‘I spoke to Johnny a couple of weeks ago and he said, “Are you up for another one?”‘ he offered.

At the time, he was not able to confirm his involvement. ‘I can leave it at that because I know no more, but I do have the costume!’ he added. Keith was cast in the Pirates films after Johnny admitted the musician inspired his flamboyant portrayal of Jack in the original Pirates of the Caribbean, which was called The Curse of the Black Pearl and came out in 2003.

In this new installment of the Disney franchise – which is set for a 2015 release – Jack and his team are in search of The Trident, which Keith’s Teague holds valuable information to. The villain this time is Captain Brand, a ghost that wants the Trident so he can get his revenge on Jack. Brand believes Jack turned his brother Eric into a pirate, which led to his death.

MailOnline can exclusively reveal that Christopher – best known for his turn in Quentin Tarantino’s 2009 hit Inglourious Basterds – is interested in playing Brand, but no commitments have been made yet.
Also in Dead Men Tell No Tales, Jack becomes enchanted by Barbosa’s daughter, Carina Smyth.
She’s a beautiful woman in her late 30s who is called a witch by some but is really an adept astronomer.
‘She falls for Jack as their adventures keep them together, but he rebuffs her advances in fear of angering Barbosa,’ script notes obtained exclusively by MailOnline reveal.

Carina has not yet been cast, but Geoffrey Rush is a go to reprise his role as Barbosa.
Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg are set to director from a script by Jess Nathanson.
Producers include Johnny and his older sister Christi Dembrowski, as well as Jerry Bruckheimer.

It’s through the looking glass again for Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska, who are now officially set for “Alice in Wonderland 2.

Disney made the announcement on Friday following months of speculation. Johnny and Mia will reprise their roles as the Mad Hatter and Alice, respectively, in the sequel that was once tentatively titled “Into the Looking Glass.” (Lewis Carroll’s 1865 novel “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” received an 1871 sequel called “Through the Looking-Glass,” both of which were used as inspiration for the 2010 movie directed by Tim Burton.)

Burton won’t return to the director’s seat for the sequel, however, instead being replaced by James Bobin, who co-created “Flight of the Conchords” and directed 2011’s “The Muppets.” The script should feel familiar to fans of original, as “Wonderland” scribe Linda Woolverton (“Beauty and the Beast,” “The Lion King”) will pen the sequel as well. No plot details have been revealed.

Disney set a Memorial Day 2016 release for “Alice 2,” making it the first movie to nab a spot during that coveted weekend. The only film already set for May 2016 is an untitled Disney/Marvel release.

The 2010 original, co-starring Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway, became a box office behemoth, despite mixed reviews. It marked the sixth movie to earn more than $1 billion worldwide.

Disney’s live-action adaptation of “The Jungle Book” also received a release date on Friday. The Jon Favreau-directed project will bow on Oct. 9, 2015.

mortdecai_car Johnny Depp pulled a fast one on Londoners Wednesday.

Whoever happened to be walking by an East End street on Wednesday may have been shocked to see the 50-year-old actor bouncing off the hood of a vintage Rolls Royce after the car sped down a cobblestone street and apparently struck him.

The dramatic sight was all staged—as he was filming a scene for his new action-comedy, Mortdecai.
No word whether Depp received any bumps or bruises from the stunt, but he certainly looked good performing it.

The Lone Ranger star has transformed himself once again for his latest role—this time dying his hair blond and donning a rather Dali-esque mustache to play the film’s titular debonair art dealer, Charlie Mortdecai. He was dressed elegantly in a three-piece suit, pink shirt with a white collar and a blue tie along with a long black winter coat.

So this is why Johnny Depp has gone blond! We got our first good look at Johnny in his new film, Mortdecai, which is currently filming in London. The new photo shows Johnny walking with Paul Bettany, whom Johnny had previously starred alongside in “The Tourist“.

The film follows an art dealer, Charlie Mortdecai, as he hunts for a stolen painting that is said to hold a secret code that can lead to a Nazi gold stash. The film is based on the popular Mortdecai Trilogy, which was written by Kyril Bonfiglioli. Johnny’s new project also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, and Olivia Munn.

While some may consider Johnny Depp a tasty morsel, he has never looked more delicious than in the nearly and slightly terrifying life-size cake crafted by a baker in England.

The cake version of the actor stands 5.5 feet tall and was made by Lara Clarke, an amateur baker, who was looking for a way to wow the judges at the Cake International competition in Birmingham. She started baking two years ago after watching YouTube tutorials and was ready to take her hobby up a notch. “One of my friends was on the phone and said I should enter Cake International. At the time I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean,” Clarke told the BBC. “I was watching Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp, and I thought he would make the perfect cake.”

She went all out to make the cake for the competition, telling the BBC, that it took her 90 hours to make the replica, which she started constructing in September. She made the cake version of the Edward Scissorhands and Dark Shadows actor out of crisped rice cereal and marshmallows, with PVC pipes and stainless steel supports. Depps’s trademark smoldering eyes and Captain Jack facial hair were made from royal icing, fondant icing and edible paint.

While Clarke had never attempted anything like a sponge-cake based life-size representation of an actor before, she had baked a cake replica of her mother-in-law. If she could please that audience, the Cake International judges will surely be easier to impress.

It makes sense that Johnny Depp and Cillian Murphy are pals. The pair are two of the most distinctive actors of their generation. That’s why when Johnny and Cillian stopped off for lunch in a tiny County Westmeath village on Sunday the locals took the double whammy in their stride.

The movie stars reportedly rolled in to meet with Irish author JP Donleavy and film director Bob Mitchell at the award-winning Weirs Pub and Restaurant in the village of Multyfarnham, near Donleavy’s home.

Pat Weir, one of the venue’s co-owners, said it was a normal busy Sunday until Donleavy’s son Philip booked a table for nine for 2.30PM.

Johnny and Amber, together again on the big screen! Johnny Depp, 50, will make a cameo in London Fields, an upcoming thriller starring his 27-year-old girlfriend Amber Heard.

The crime thriller, based on the 1989 novel by Martin Amis, started filming in September in London. The plot follows a terminally-ill ex-pat, played by Billy Bob Thornton, who meets a psychic named Nicola Six (Heard) at a seedy London bar. Nicola, who knows she will be murdered before her upcoming birthday, begins a torrid love affair with three different men– one of whom is her killer. Theo James and Jim Sturgess will costar in the film.

Although Depp’s role in the movie remains unknown, sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor has already filmed his scenes during short breaks from other in-production films, the big screen-adaptation of Into the Woods and Mortdecai.

Johnny Depp’s locks are on the lighter side these days.

The 50-year-old Hollywood star turned up sporting a new blond ‘do as the surprise guest Saturday night at the London Film Festival, where he gave Christopher Lee a special award for his legendary career.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, upon presenting the horror icon a British Film Institute Fellowship, Johnny said it was a “great honor to be here” and hailed Lee as a “great man, a very great man indeed.”

The two have co-starred in three films together, all directed by Tim Burton—Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Dark Shadows (Lee also lent his voice to Burton’s Corpse Bride and Alice in Wonderland, both with Johnny).

Monday night at Craig’s, by far the hottest restaurant in West Hollywood and where the stars go to dine on comfort food: Sir Elton John and partner David Furnish celebrated the release of Elton’s magnificent new album “The Diving Board” with two superstar guests: Lady Gaga and Johnny Depp. (Also at Craig’s last night: Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit.)

This may have been the biggest star wattage per square inch (or however it would be calculated) in some time. They sat in a secluded banquette with Gaga between David and Elton, and Depp to Elton’s left. Gaga wore a large flowing pink gown with a gigantic blond wig right out of Marie Antoinette. “Actually it’s two wigs,” she told me after I’d made it past the four huge bodyguards in tow.

I did not check their orders. But I do know that Craig’s famous truffled-oiled fried chicken with mashed potatoes and spinach was consumed. It’s the hot spot’s signature dish.

So what was going on? We talked about “The Diving Board,” Elton’s first solo album in 7 years (not counting “The Union” with Leon Russell). The album is released in the U.S. today and it’s already causing a stir. If it’s not nominated for Album of the Year at this year’s Grammys, something is very very wrong.

I was waxing on and on about it until Gaga. who was very amusing, said: “You know, we went to the listening party. I know you think we’re just a pop star and an actor but we did get invited.”

Gaga then showed David, Elton and Johnny– and yours truly by default — a picture of her album cover on her iPhone. It’s a collaboration with famed artist Jeff Koons, and quite stunning. She also told us a story about going to play at the original Cutting Room in New York, and realizing that she looked just like Amy Winehouse. I think that’s when she went blonde.

Johnny Depp mostly listened, and was incredibly polite. As a musician I think he was taking it all in, too.

Meanwhile, a table of twelve people in their 30s, almost all from the record industry, were celebrating a birthday at a long table that ran perpendicular to this star setting. Somehow they kept their cool. But it was probably a very memorable night.

And that’s a Monday night in La La Land at Craig’s. It reminded me of the old Mondays at Morton’s from the 1980s.

PS David showed me pictures of his and Elton’s two little boys, Elijah and Zachary. They are very very cute. And he did tell me that their Elton John AIDS Foundation has just gotten a huge donation in the United Kingdom to help them keep battling AIDS and various diseases. Bravo!

I love the idea of changing my look. I think one owes it to the audience, to go out there and give them something different each time, so as not to bore them to death. And I always felt that if you're not trying something different each time out of the gate, you're being safe, and you don't ever want to find that place of safety. I like that, each time, before I even go in front of the cameras, the studio's reaction will be fear. They have those hideous pangs of fear where they go, "He's fucking killing the movie." And I can't argue with them, because I might be. But I just know for the character that this is the right thing to do. And I've always enjoyed hiding behind these characters. It's a strange thing, you're more comfortable as a character than you are in life. You know what I mean? I could stand up in front of, it doesn't matter how many people, as a character. But if I had to do it as myself and give a speech, I would be liquid.
