As I told you before, I’m working in a total revamp to this site, including a complete filmography section. For this reason, I’m uploading pictures from some movies, specially the older ones.

Today, I have added screencaptures from Private Resort, Slow Burn, Platoon and Lady Blue, but you can expect a little more this weekend.

I have added a new quotes page, because I found an awesome script from Martina (the same girl who did the affiliates one). And because of this, I’ll need your help.

With this script, you can add quotes, too. So, if you’re a related-Johnny quotes collector, please, help me! You can add quotes from Johnny himself, from his characters or from someone on Johnny.

Go to the add form. Select a category into the drop down menu. Insert the quote into the appropriate form, and the ‘who said it’, too. As you can see, you can insert your name, your email and your website. Just please check if the quote isn’t already listed.

Enjoy! :)

Golden Globe winner Johnny Depp attended the Paris premiere of SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET last night, January 16th, and signed autographs for fans waiting outside the theater. I added 38 pictures from Johnny and Tim.

Also I had forgot to add the pictures from Tokyo press conference, so added 50 new ones.

– Sweeney Todd Tokyo Press Conference
– Sweeney Todd Paris Premiere

Note: I’m working in a total revamp of this site, with a complete update of all pages. This site is SO outdate, some pages was last updated in 2004, some pages never was updated since this site open doors. You can expect a BIG surprise when I finish it. :D

Johnny is on the cover of the Feb. 2008 French Premiere magazine. The picture isn’t new, but the title couldn’t be more right: “Johnny, the magnificent”.

Also, in the new issue of Radio Times:

Steady ladies! This week we’re chatting to none other than Hollywood heart-throb Johnny Depp, who’s soon to be back on the big screen wielding yet more sharp implements as he takes on the role of the demon barber of Fleet Street, Sweeney Todd.

He and director Tim Burton join us on the eve of their South Bank Show appearance to try to explain where their magical outsider chemistry comes from. And yes, there are pictures…

Thanks to part-time poet and emma, from the JD-Zone Board, for the heads up!

“I would like to thank my beloved friends at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for bestowing such an honor on me. It is a humbling experience, especially in the company of such talent. For many years the HFPA has supported my work and for that I have always been truly grateful. While this is indeed a happy day for me, I am overjoyed at the recognition the film as a whole is receiving. TIM is a dear friend and a true artist whose vision and skill inspire us all. He is a genius. Without his unwavering trust and support, I would not be anywhere near where I am today. Also, big thanks and respect to HELENA, whose simply staggering performance as Mrs. Lovett is a wonder to behold. I must send a behemoth salute to the wonderful crew and cast of ‘Sweeney Todd’ and all at Dreamworks/Paramount and Warner Bros. Pictures. In addition, I’d also like to extend my sincere gratitude to, first and foremost, my cherished friend and agent of forever ago, TRACEY JACOBS; the extraordinary man and producer, RICHARD ZANUCK; the mastermind STEPHEN SONDHEIM; and, of course, my precious family, VANESSA, LILY-ROSE and JACK, for all of their love, support and pure and absolute happiness everyday. Overall, I believe it to be a proud achievement for everyone involved and on behalf of us all, I thank you.”

This was posted @ The Insider, I was so curious (and certainly you, too) to read what Johnny said about his GG. Go Johnny, you deserve it.

Johnny Depp secretly visited Great Ormond Street Hospital yesterday to donate £1 million of his own money to thank staff for saving his daughter’s life.

He arrived unexpectedly at the London children’s hospital where eight-year-old Lily-Rose was treated last year when her kidneys failed.

Last week he invited five Great Ormond Street doctors and nurses to the party for the London premiere of his film Sweeney Todd.

And on November 29, unknown to the public, Depp spent four hours at the hospital telling bedtime stories to patients dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow after having his Pirates Of The Caribbean costume flown over from Los Angeles. Read More

[Film Guardian] After facing off against Russell Crowe in 3:10 To Yuma and Heath Ledger’s Joker in the upcoming The Dark Knight, Christian Bale is preparing to go head-to-head with Johnny Depp. The pair will star in Michael Mann’s crime thriller Public Enemies. Bale will play FBI agent Melvin Purvis who led the hunt for the 1930s bank robber John Dillinger, to be played by Depp. Filming is expected to begin in March before a possible actors and directors strike on July 1 forces Hollywood film production to grind to a halt.

I love the idea of changing my look. I think one owes it to the audience, to go out there and give them something different each time, so as not to bore them to death. And I always felt that if you're not trying something different each time out of the gate, you're being safe, and you don't ever want to find that place of safety. I like that, each time, before I even go in front of the cameras, the studio's reaction will be fear. They have those hideous pangs of fear where they go, "He's fucking killing the movie." And I can't argue with them, because I might be. But I just know for the character that this is the right thing to do. And I've always enjoyed hiding behind these characters. It's a strange thing, you're more comfortable as a character than you are in life. You know what I mean? I could stand up in front of, it doesn't matter how many people, as a character. But if I had to do it as myself and give a speech, I would be liquid.
