GQ Online did a selection with 50 stylish men of the past 50 years. Johnny is the #20, besides Paul Newman, Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert Redford and other charming man.

Johnny Depp

After almost a quarter century in front of the camera, Johnny Depp has shown us everything but himself. Not an easy task when you’ve got those cheekbones, that tousled hair, and an unmitigated youthfulness, which Depp has worked hard to cloak by playing reclusive savants and rock ’n’ roll pirates. But we keep searching, trying to nail down his hobo chic—a style that derives from a life spent kicking around the dusty South and the French countryside. “I don’t think he’s remotely interested in fashion. He’s a complete instigator of fashion,” says Penny Rose, the costume designer who collaborated with the actor to create Pirates of the Caribbean’s randy Jack Sparrow. “His look is always eye-stopping, clever, and completely individual.” Or, like the last two drags on one of his hand-rolled cigarettes, raw and unapologetically gratifying.

• A tweak here and there can elevate even the simplest outfits. Notice the rolled-up sleeves, the neckpiece, the beat-up boots instead of sneakers. Small moves like these separate you from the pack.

Johnny Depp is moving to the UK – the hunky actor has bought a beautiful £1.3m West Country home. The 44-year-old fell in love with the 150-year-old Somerset mansion as soon as he saw it.

Johnny, girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, 34, and their 2 kids are waiting for £2.5m of renovations to be completed before they move in.

Johnny’s said to be building a helipad and swimming pool.

‘He’s made regular trips overseeing the work,’ a source tells the Sun.

The Hollywood star already owns property in France and America and a 45-acre Bahamas island.

EW.com – Johnny Depp says his 8-year-old daughter is now healthy and well following her hospitalization earlier this year.

“Now every single millisecond is a mini-celebration,” the 44-year-old actor tells Entertainment Weekly in its Nov. 9 issue. “Every time we get to breathe in and exhale is a huge victory. She pulled through beautifully, perfectly, with no lasting anything.”

Lily-Rose, the daughter of Depp and French singer Vanessa Paradis, was admitted to a British hospital to receive treatment for an undisclosed ailment about three weeks after Depp started work on “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” Tim Burton’s adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim musical about a murderous barber.

“To say it was the darkest moment, that’s nothing,” Depp tells the magazine. “It doesn’t come close to describing it. Words are so small. But knowing that those people, Tim and the crew, shut down and stood by and waited … I didn’t know if I was coming back. I remember talking with Tim, saying, `Maybe you need to recast.’”

“Once we were given the all-clear, I had to dive back into the work,” he says. “I had to get back in there for Tim.”

“Sweeney Todd” is set for limited release in the U.S. next month.

Depp and Paradis also have a 5-year-old son, Jack.

f you’ve checked out our first Buzzmeter, you’ll see that I buck the pundit tide and boldly predict that “Sweeney Todd” will win the Oscar for best picture.

No, I haven’t seen the film adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim Broadway classic yet, but I have now heard from enough viewers to feel confident that I’m making a shrewd, if recklessly early call. They’re all deliriously passionate about it — in fact, they’re as mad for it as Sweeney is for his revenge-wreaking razor — and so far it’s the only film on the scene to inspire this kind of joy.

“Sweeney Todd” does that to people, even though they’re actually rooting for a deranged chap to slash men’s throats. It’s a proven recipe for Oscar victory, tattling on Hollywood’s sick dark side. Let’s recall that the last musical to win best picture — “Chicago” — also asked viewers to cheer on characters to get away with murder. Read More

Okay, I would never normally post and ask for donations but this is an emergency. Mycah, fellow Famke-Janssen.org, Rose-McGowan.com and Glamour Reese Witherspoon webmistress, is in a horrible situation right now. Her house burned down earlier this week and she really needs our help. If you enjoy her work on her sites and can spare anything at all, please consider donating. She is okay but her family lost their home and all possessions and they have no place to stay. You can read about the incident here. If you can help at all, Mycah’s PayPal address is agnesfanb89@yahoo.com. I’m sure that any donations will be more than appreciated.

In 2000, celebrity photographer Henny Garfunkel began taking Polaroids of her famous subjects at film festivals around the world. Since then, Garfunkel has collected signed snaps of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. The photographer’s work is currently on display at the Walter Reade Theater’s Frieda and Roy Furman Gallery as part of the New York Film Festival.

“I know Johnny because I shot the still photography on the John Waters movie Cry Baby in 1989,” says Garfunkel, who caught Depp in this slightly askew pose at the 2005 Toronto Film Festival. “He’s very fun and very spontaneous. He’s up for anything.”

I love the idea of changing my look. I think one owes it to the audience, to go out there and give them something different each time, so as not to bore them to death. And I always felt that if you're not trying something different each time out of the gate, you're being safe, and you don't ever want to find that place of safety. I like that, each time, before I even go in front of the cameras, the studio's reaction will be fear. They have those hideous pangs of fear where they go, "He's fucking killing the movie." And I can't argue with them, because I might be. But I just know for the character that this is the right thing to do. And I've always enjoyed hiding behind these characters. It's a strange thing, you're more comfortable as a character than you are in life. You know what I mean? I could stand up in front of, it doesn't matter how many people, as a character. But if I had to do it as myself and give a speech, I would be liquid.
