Johnny Makes Surprise Appearance At Native American Parade
Johnny was the delight of the Comanche Nation fair on Saturday morning when parade watchers realized the famous Hollywood actor was part of the parade. On Saturday morning the entertainer was seen in a black convertible driving his way through the streets in celebration of the special event.
Arriving first in an SUV and then transferring to a convertible, the entertainer wasn’t expected by the locals as people were worried about chaos. Instead, the shock of seeing the star as he rolled down the street had people screaming with delight and stunned to see such a big personality.
Johnny Depp has been doing his part to bridge the Native American community with his characters portrayal in the upcoming The Lone Ranger movie. Respecting the concerns of the Native American community and actively being involved in a fair portrayal of the character, there is a lot to be said about the effort’s Depp has put into the film
Johnny Depp shows off his toned arms while going shirtless to film scenes for his upcoming action movie “The Lone Ranger” on Tuesday (September 25) in Arcadia, Calif.
The 49-year-old actor was joined on the set by his co-star Armie Hammer, who was spotted getting into character as The Lone Ranger atop his trusty steed Silver.
Shooting on Johnny’s film started February 28 in New Mexico and is set to wrap at the end of September, according to THR.
“The Lone Ranger” is riding again. The pricey Disney movie (with a $250 million budget or more, depending on whom you ask) is nearing the end of one of the longest principal-photography shoots in recent memory.
Filming on the Johnny Depp starrer began February 28 in New Mexico and is expected to wrap at the end of September, for a total of between 140 and 150 shooting days. (The on-set death September 21 of a welder who was preparing an underwater action sequence for the film is not expected to impact the timeline.)
Many who have worked with director Gore Verbinski (the first three Pirates of the Caribbean), whose pursuit of authenticity and scope caused the construction of massive sets and real working trains, say they aren’t surprised by the length. “He likes to shoot and shoot and shoot,” says one insider.
But some delays were beyond Disney’s control: Wind and dust storms damaged the sets, and Johnny reportedly was injured in a fall from a horse.
The crew member who drowned last week while preparing for an underwater action scene on the “The Lone Ranger” set was identified Monday as Michael Andrew Bridger, 48, of Redondo Beach.
Although an autopsy was pending, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said there were indications that Bridger died of a heart attack Friday while working in scuba gear in a water tank. Bridger was working on the Walt Disney Productions film “The Lone Ranger,” starring Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as the masked man, although filming was not taking place when he was found in the water.
When other production workers noticed that bubbles were not coming from Bridger’s scuba equipment, they pulled him out of the water. He was pronounced dead after being airlifted to a hospital.
Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer are seen filming on the set of “The Lone Ranger” in Santa Anita. The scene shows a house burning and Armie Hammer as the Lone Ranger comes to the rescue of Johnny Depp who plays his sidekic Tonto. Spoiler alert!
I don’t know when these pictures were taken and since the quality is really bad, we can’t see much of the people in them, but I decided to upload them to the gallery though.
Authorities are investigating the apparent drowning of a crew member on the set of forthcoming Johnny Depp film The Lone Ranger, near Los Angeles.
The unnamed 48-year-old diver is thought to have suffered a heart attack while cleaning out a pool that was going to be used in the film. He was pronounced dead on Friday according to the coroner’s spokesman.
Walt Disney studios said: “Our hearts and thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues at this time.” Spokesman Paul Roeder added in a statement: “Our full support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this terrible event.”
Police revealed the man had been wearing scuba equipment to carry out maintenance on a deep pool on a ranch near Palmdale, in the desert north of Los Angeles, where the Western is being filmed. It is thought he was preparing a tank for an underwater scene to be shot at a later date.
JohnnyDeppWeb‘s prayers and thoughts are with his beloved family, friends and colleagues. May he rest in peace!
Showing solidarity for a man he believes was wrongly convicted, Johnny Depp attended “Damien Echols In Conversation, With Johnny Depp” at Barnes & Noble Union Square in New York City on Friday (September 21).
Looking a bit like a hipster cowboy, the “Dark Shadows” star donned a brown leather jacket; black, red, and gray scarf; gray trousers; and a black cowboy hat with a beaded band. The 49-year-old actor supported Echols, one of the famous West Memphis Three, who was promoting a book detailing his life after being released from death row.
That same day, a crew member on Johnny’s new film, “The Lone Ranger,” tragically drowned while preparing a water tank for an upcoming scene. Law enforcement told TMZ that the worker was pulled from the tank only after another on the film crew noticed there weren’t any bubbles surfacing from the diver’s gear.
Johnny Depp has a close relationship with his nephew Billy Rassel and has even collaborated with him on a music project.
‘We interact just like any other family, but I guess the best way to describe our relationship is that of anyone else who has an uncle that likes to do shit with you that your parents don’t approve of,’ Billy tells Perez Hilton. ‘Almost like brothers.’
Gossip guru Perez Hilton reveals Johnny, 49, does his stuff on Billy’s song Street Runners under the alias Mr Stench. You can find the video in which you can hear his voice below.
Johnny Depp is one of the only guys out there who seems to dispute that whole “jack of all trades, master of none” thing. The actor never makes a misstep, and the guys in Aerosmith agree.
While recording their latest album, “Music From Another Dimension“, Johnny recorded some backup vocals for the guys on the track “Freedom Fighter”. Aerosmith open up about how their collabo came about:
“[Depp] came down [to the studio] with one of his guitars and it got late, and it came time for the background vocals. We asked him if he’d sit around the microphone. He did and that’s how he ended up on the song.” Easy as that, folks. Just be Johnny Depp and the world is your oyster.
Johnny Depp goes shirtless as he shoots some scenes dressed in costume as Tonto for his upcoming film “The Lone Ranger” on Wednesday (September 19) in Arcadia, Calif.
The 49-year-old actor recently spoke at TIFF about what drew him to the documentary West of Memphis to MTV News.
“I believe it was Henry Rollins, also a longtime supporter and friend of Damien’s [Echols], who said it, and it’s absolutely true: it could have been any of us,” Johnny said. “Because, what, you look different? [The authorities] put their eyeball on Damien and didn’t take it off, even though everything around them — they didn’t look at the insane amount of holes in the case. They just looked at the guy with the black T-shirt and the long black hair. It was a witch hunt.”
“The Lone Ranger” will be released on July 3rd in 2013! Keep visiting for more updates on Johnny’s upcoming movie project.
